Welcome to Summmertime! Warm weather, Bar-B-Ques, and vacations!
We're also on vacation for the Summer but we'll be meeting every other week to continue practicing our ritual for our upcoming Fellowcraft Degree. Check out our trestleboard for which dates we'll be at the lodge.
We'll be taking it slow for now but rest asured that come September, we'll be right back into the swing of things, pushing strong until the end of the year.
Have a wonderful Summer and we'll see you soon!
Brothers,
Once again we are called from labor to refreshment in order to give us time to plant our Summer seeds for the upcoming Fall harvest. Whether you’re planting a vegetable garden, a fruit garden or a flower garden, make sure you throw in a few seeds of Brotherly Love and Friendship as well. These seeds grow strong and true and are sure to help any garden strive.
Brotherly Love and Friendship are seeds that help a Lodge grow strong and true as well. It is a primary tenet on why we meet on a regular basis; why we perfect the craft we do; why we joined Freemasonry to begin with. It is why your Lodge continues to hold its ground even though our footings are giving way.
Hope gives us strength to push on with our duties and responsibilities; even in the face of apathy we persevere. We continue on to make sure there is a Lodge for you to come to when you so desire. We make sure there is a warm smile, a hearty greeting and an enjoyable Masonic conversation to welcome you back. These friendly gestures are always there for your arrival.
However, none of us prefer to face the absolute truth about the status of our Lodge just yet but we know that the time is quickly approaching when we will have to face facts and make a major decision on how to proceed. We must do something in order to keep the Lodge alive, whether in physical location or in namesake alone.
We’d like to include your thoughts and opinions on this major step before us and hope that you’ll join our regular discussions at the Lodge. This potential change will impact the entire Brotherhood and we want to make sure the few present understand the feelings of the many who will be effected.
Enjoy your freshly planted Summer gardens for the sand of the hourglass quickly trickle through. Soon we will be called to labor again to continue the work that must be done to keep Asbury Jordan Lodge #142 firmly planted in the soil of Freemasonry.
Have a safe, happy and healthy Summer!
Fraternal Regards,
Adam M. Reich
